We are celebrating after more people than ever joined the National Trust as members. We now have 5 million people supporting us to care for 775 miles of coastline, over 248,000 hectares of land and over 500 historic houses, castles, ancient monuments gardens and parks and nature reserves.

From only 100 members when we were founded in 1895 to a gigantic leap from 4 million to 5 million in the past six years alone, thank you to everyone for supporting our cause.

Conserving our heritage

With our property portfolio growing, including looking after well-loved places like Canons Ashby, Wimpole and Aberdulais Falls, alongside our members we welcomed 8 million paying visitors to our places. With the influx of visits we were able to take on bigger conservation projects.
