Now open: Nelly’s Moss lakes walk
Enjoy a family-friendly flat walk around two of Cragside’s historic lakes. The lakes were engineered by Armstrong and formed part of his pioneering hydro-electricity system. The lakes are home to lots of wildlife. Look out for frogs and toads crossing your path and even herons dipping their feet in the water. There's an alternative route for buggies and pushchairs too.

Christmas at Cragside
Make memories this December and enjoy a festive day out with all the family. The House has decked the halls and trimmed the trees, you can join Percy the Park Keeper on some winter adventures and discover a new corner of Cragside on a winter walk in the woods.

Family fun at Cragside
There are plenty of family adventures to be had at Cragside. Have fun with 50 things, explore the woodland, get lost in the Labyrinth, head out on a family walk, build a den, visit the Young Engineer’s zone, get messy on the Barefoot Walk and whizz down the slide in the Adventure Play Area! Visiting us on a rainy day? Don't worry! There's still plenty of fun to be had.

Armstrong trail at Cragside
The Armstrong trail takes in some of the most dramatic scenery at Cragside. Follow the flow of water around Armstrong's man-made Tumbleton Lake, stroll along meandering path that hugs the Debdon Burn and stand at the foot of some of the tallest trees in the country before climbing the stone steps of the Rock Garden towards the House.

Inspiration Trail at Cragside
Delve into the scientific mind of William Armstrong on a walk through the heart of Cragside. After a stroll between the trees to Slipper Lake and a short rest on nearby picnic benches, you continue on to a route with inspirational quotes from Armstrong's speeches carved into the rock. This route culminates in a breathtaking view overlooking the rolling hills of Northumberland a beyond.
