Volunteering is a great way for you to help us look after the special places in our care, while making new friends in some of the country's most beautiful and interesting places.
We have a wide variety of opportunities available from growing plants at home to admin in our office or helping in the lighthouse shop, or even being an underground tunnel guide at Fan Bay Deep Shelter.
What you can do
Fan Bay Deep Shelter instead of walking along the top you can start to take people inside the world famous White Cliffs of Dover by volunteering as a tour guide or greeter, you'll get to guide small groups of visitors around this forgotten underground world, while you bring its story to life.
Or if you prefer to be in the sunshine you can enjoy one of the most breath-taking views on offer at the top of the South Foreland Lighthouse by guiding visitors around this Victorian marvel. But don't worry if you don't have a head for heights you can always help out in Mrs Knotts tearoom and help us serve cakes and tea to our many visitors.
If gardening is more of your thing, why not become a Plant Fair volunteer and help us with our biggest event of the year? All the money raised from the plant fair is spent on conservation projects on the cliffs. Green fingers are not a necessity, just enthusiasm to grow plants, flowers or even vegetables.
