Large Willow Bird Feeder Making

Sorry, this event is now sold out.

  • Booking essential

Enjoy a two hour workshop learning about the traditional craft of willow weaving. You'll be creating a beautiful and functional feeder to take home and hang in your garden. You'll be guided through the processes of creating a cone shape, weaving in a pattern and turning.

No experience is required. This workshop is great for beginners who would like a taste of what basket weaving is like.

Your tutor for this course is Suzy Williams of The Coppice Co. In 2018 Suzy won a place on the National Coppicing Apprenticeship Scheme, during which she learned vital skills and knowledge from seasoned coppice workers. Now she manages coppice woodlands alongside teaching and selling traditional woodland crafts.

Our class sizes are small, so you'll have a chance to engage with the tutor while you work.

Tuesday 30 July, 10am-12noon. Tea/coffee is provided.
