A summer with the collection
Introduce your child to the pleasures and possibilities of great paintings this summer with new interpretation and immersive activities exploring some of Upton's most distinguished collection items.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Make a family visit to the house memorable and rewarding with our new children's guides to the collection. With questions and suggested activities for ages 4 + years, the guides and activity sheets help children and adults to explore their own individual responses to paintings, their feelings and senses, to look and engage on their own terms.
Inspired by Jan Steen's painting, The Sense of Smell, an immersive, 'smelly' display in the plant centre hut invites children and adults to follow their noses, exploring nature's smells past and present.
