Hidden in the depths of the Skyline is a mysterious box, within the box a story has unfurled. Completed by visitors to the Skyline in 2015, you can read it below. Be sure to visit soon to add to the next one.

Story number one, written over Christmas

It was a cold winter’s morning. The sun was shining and slowly melting the ice and frost on the paths and in the fields…

There was a dog walker calmly walking his dog around the field a couple of times…

Then along came a farmer and said “what are you doing here?!”…

He glanced up, and then a look of surprise and excitement crossed his face. “Ah” he smiled. “I didn’t realise you were one of those Geocachers”…

“Happy Christmas” said the farmer, and then added “you want to be going through that hole in the wall over there. A surprise awaits…”

“Thank you and Merry Christmas to you too” replied the Geocacher ducking through the hole in the wall, followed by his Geohound.  ...

As they went through the wall to their great surprise they found a golden chicken and a harp. Up ahead was a castle.  ...

Once the Geocacher reached the castle he started to climb the steps to the tower. They heard loud footsteps and then…

A giant gorilla, called Gary, appeared in front of them and in a gigantic grumpy voice he growled…

Happy New Year.

Story number two, written in 2015

There was a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder and the scarecrow in the field came to life and ran across the field…

…to find the goddess Minerva in red sequinned dancing shoes on her way to…

…A ball at the Assembly Rooms…

The Scarecrow got drenched in the rainstorm in his way to the Assembly Rooms, where they wouldn’t let him in. So he…

…went to the phone box and called Ant and Ritch who left the pub and helped him with a new suit.

He loved his new suit but couldn’t find the Goddess in the ball…

The Scarecrow thought, this is silly, and turned into a rabbit…

The rabbit found an open fairy door and went in, and then…

He watched England beat France in the rugby match to win the Six Nations Championship. Then he woke up and …

Realised it was all a dream – he was back at the ball and a fox was heading his way…

It was Minerva, but then the clock struck twelve and the scarecrow remembered that the magic that brought him to life in the field could only last until 12.05…

After 12.05 he turned into a giant, pink, flying octopus that had a giant curly moustache…

And with a swig of Bath water he was off to hunt treasure in Gloucester…

But he was not a fan of Gloucester and realised that Bath was the place for him. He hopped on his jet and …

He flew to Rome! The home of all the authentic baths. However he felt embarrassed to be in the baths naked, because of his 8 legs, and his legs looked even more pink next to the lovely brown Italian legs.

The octopus decided to stay as an octopus (instead of go back to being a scarecrow), and lived out his days in the Mediterranean Sea.
