A bite to eat and a spot of shopping

Two visitors to Bembridge Winmill sat in front of the windmill drinking a hot drink with biscuits on the table.

Our entrance kiosk at Bembridge Windmill isn’t just where we welcome visitors, it's also a great place to pick up a drink and have a quick shop. Here you'll find lots of things to help you make even more of your day at the windmill, and a little something to remember it by.

Lining the walls of our kiosk, from ceiling to floor, is a range of carefully selected National Trust and locally produced products.  Honeys, curds and jams, as well as biscuits and chocolates make for a sweet treat, and there are even rugs and blankets for you to enjoy a picnic on in the grounds of the windmill.

Family fun

We’ve lots of 50 things challenges for young explorers at the windmill and our shop has plenty of ways to help you tick them off. Pick up a bird spotter, a kite or even a compass and you’ll soon be on your way to completing them. For a special memory of your day, jot down what you saw on your visit in one of our Bembridge Windmill notebooks, or pick up a pencil and draw a picture instead.

A quick pit stop or a longer stay

If you've worked up a thirst climbing the windmill, then pick up a tea, coffee or chilled drink at the kiosk and sit at one of the picnic tables located around the grounds. And on a warm day, cool off with an ice cream. Even if you just happen to be walking by, it’s a great place for a refreshing break.
