Visitors on the walkway at Clandon Park

Following the launch of the design competition, we have been delighted by the positive interest from architects, the media and our members and supporters. Stage 1 is open for entries until 21 April. We'll be announcing the shortlist on 22 May.

Concepts from the short-listed teams will be exhibited in the summer, with the winner due to be announced at the end of September. The aim of the competition is not to choose a final design – although the concepts are important – but to choose the right design team to work with us on this very significant and exciting project.

We’re also working on the Conservation Plan which will describe the policies which need to be in place to ensure a careful and thoughtful restoration of the most historically significant rooms. This will be completed in the summer.

The gardens opened in March and the daffodil display has been superb. The house will be open again in this month to give our visitors an opportunity to see more of the house and share their feedback via our ‘thoughts boards’.

Thank you so much for your support.
