It would be impossible to run Clandon successfully without the hard work and dedication of our brilliant volunteer teams. With just a few spare hours a week you can get involved and really make a difference. Use and share the skills you already have, learn some new ones, gain experience, strengthen your CV or develop your career.

There are several roles to choose from, each with differing requirements. Simply find the role that most appeals to you below. From here you can click through to the listing on our volunteering site where you’ll be able to complete an online application for the role of your choice. Your application will take just a few minutes to complete and will automatically be forwarded to us.

House and Visitor welcome volunteer 

You’ll work in rough and ready conditions, turning your hand to a range of different customer-facing roles such as leading tours, delivering safety briefings, handing out hard hats, assisting with interactive activities or supporting our teams elsewhere on-site.

If you love gardens as much as we do then you’ll know they need a lot of care and attention. Volunteer gardeners do practical work to help keep Clandon in peak condition and looking eye catching.

Katie has been volunteering at Clandon Park since summer 2018. Flexible volunteering hours have made it possible for her to give her time whenever she wants, enabling her to meet new people, get to know the area and learn more about a place she’s grown to love.

Cathy has been a National Trust volunteer for over seven years and a volunteer at Clandon Park since 2016. She regularly gives her time to share her enthusiasm for this project with our visitors and is excited to see the bright future that’s in store for this grand Surrey mansion.
