Visiting Claydon: What to expect on your visit

We look forward to welcoming you to Claydon. Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking. Carry on reading below for more information on visiting this year.

Getting here

Cladyon House can be found nestled in the Aylesbury Vale countryside. Use the postcode MK18 2EY to find us, and follow the sign posts found from the Buckingham direction. Please allow extra time for your journey and plan ahead, due to nearby construction and roadworks. At the end of the Claydon drive, you’ll find our car park just off to the right hand side. If you are looking for accessible parking, drive over the cattle grid and park on the gravel outside the house.

Visiting the house

When you arrive, please check in with us at the welcome kiosk. Bring your booking confirmation and membership cards if relevant, with you, and our friendly team will check you in. We ask that you follow Government guidance when you visit. Face coverings are not compulsory but we recommend that you wear one in any area on your visit which is enclosed and crowded.

Facilities

Our toilets are open and cleaned regularly. While we don’t have a National Trust shop or café onsite, you are welcome to visit the Claydon courtyard, run by the Claydon Estate or bring refreshments with you.

Exploring Claydon

Explore at your own pace around the house. We have a one way system in place to help you find the best route of the rooms, and seats along the way if you want to take a break. You’ll find boards in some rooms to give you a bit more information, and you can also talk to our friendly room guides who will be happy to share a little more with you.
