The Barn Restaurant at Cotehele

Looking towards the Barn restaurant from the roof at Cotehele house in summer

Find all your favourite seasonal dishes and a selection of cakes freshly baked on site at The Barn Restaurant.

The Barn Restaurant is now open every day from 10am, with hot food served daily from 12pm to 3pm and closing at 5pm. We welcome dogs on leads to join their owners for a break and a warm-up, so we hope to see plenty of your four-legged friends.

What's cooking?

From tasty savoury wraps to a delicious slice of cake and barista coffee to local apple juice, there’s something on the menu for all the family. You could pick up some Picnic Pie and head off for an adventure or settle down to relax with a full meal, hot drink or Prosecco cream tea.

Look out for special dishes we make inspired by Cotehele and its surroundings, like our tasty flatbreads - made using Cotehele Mill flour. We regularly change the menu depending on what’s fresh and in season, so check the blackboard in the restaurant next time you’re here to see what’s on offer that day. Hot food is served daily between 12pm and 3pm, with snacks and cakes served all day. On Sundays you can tuck into a roast at lunchtime too.

Treat yourself

There's always a good selection of cakes and sweet treats which are freshly baked at Cotehele. Did you know that when you buy something to eat or drink here the money goes back to supporting our conservation work? So when you treat yourself, you're helping look after Cotehele as well.

- Thank you

Summer seating

There's plenty of seating at the back of the Barn by the plant centre if you fancy something to eat or drink in the sunshine. Don't worry - we've got parasols to protect you if you've forgotten the sunscreen.

The Piggery

Behind the barn you'll find the Piggery, which is open at weekends and in school holidays. If you want to grab something quick and easy on the hoof (well it is an old farm yard) then this is the place for you. You'll find sandwiches, pasties, tubbed ice-cream, cold drinks and barista coffee to take away here.
