Cotehele shop and plant centre
The shop and plant centre is the perfect place to buy a treat for yourself or a gift for a friend. Money spent in the shop at Cotehele supports the conservation of the house, garden and wider estate.
The shop and plant centre are both closed at the moment while we're busy behind the scenes refurbishing the space and installing a new ramp to improve accessibility. Read on to discover what products will be on offer when the shop reopens.
Celebrating Cotehele and Cornwall
The shop carries a unique range of products inspired by Cotehele and the local area, including a wide range of Cornish delicacies such as cider, chutney, jam and fudge. Our chutney is truly local, being made from apples grown in Cotehele's own orchard.
A Cotehele exclusive
Bakers, and would-be-bakers, might enjoy a gift of a bag of flour milled at our own Cotehele Mill. It doesn’t get much more local than that. The millers mill on Thursdays and Sundays during the main season and you're welcome to watch them at work. We're really proud of the quality and taste of the mill flour and also use it to make the flatbreads we offer for lunch in the Barn Restaurant.
If you want to make sure your gifts don't cost the earth this year, why not check out our range of sustainable products? We've got lots of things to help you cut back on plastic waste without compromising on practicality or style.
Something for everyone
We also stock a selection of rugs, cushions, scarves and accessories, books, stationary, walking gear, gardening tools, china mugs, glasses, textiles and picnic accessories, so there really is something for everyone.
Plants and furniture
Why not take a little of Cotehele's garden home with a plant from the patio behind the shop? You'll find many of the plants you've admired in the garden available here throughout the year. There are also sculptures and furniture to enhance your garden and remind you of your visit to Cotehele.
A team of volunteers raises funds for Cotehele in the second-hand bookshop. You'll find great bargains on a variety of titles. If you have books, especially children's books, you might be able to to donate, just drop them off during opening hours or ring 01579 352713.
