Coughton Summer Fete - Sat 13 July
Join us for traditional stalls, games and competitions on the lawn to raise money for local causes. Saturday 13 July, 12noon - 4pm, entrance to the gardens is free.
It is that time of the year again and we are looking forward to the village summer fete and the sunshine that goes with it.
We open at 12 noon and are honoured to have Alex Kolb, Head of Coughton CE Primary school, here to perform the opening ceremony.
During the afternoon you can browse many stalls including tombola, lucky dip, local produce, cakes and many more.
Update. We will also have the following :-
- Woodturning demo
- Face painting
- Local cider
- Handmade gifts and crafts
There will also be entertainment, including Jacaranda Recorders, Ex Urbe Chamber Choir, Evesham Concert Band and Dynamix Harmony Group and, just added, the Di'mond Line dancers along with sports day fun.
The smells of the BBQ will hopefully tempt your appetite and there are cold refreshments available as well.
Don't forget to look out for the Coughton School scarecrow competition. Which one do you think is the best?
" It’s fantastic to have such a great relationship with the Coughton community and to be able to host the annual village fete for the ninth year. So far over £8,300 has been raised and put towards projects at Coughton Primary School, Sambourne Cemetery and the ford area. As well as being a great cause, it’s an opportunity for us all to get together and share a fun day out and this year we look forward to challenging you to a traditional game of tug of war. "
