Summer fun for families at Coughton Court
Pop along to Coughton Court this summer and discover this beautiful place.
Fancy exploring the outdoors and trying out something new? Pick up a '50 things to do before you're 11¾' booklet from Visitor Reception and start ticking off the activities you can do here at Coughton. If the weather is fair bring a picnic and head past the large lawn towards the river where you can enjoy the surrounding countryside, carry on towards Timm’s Grove to take in our ancient woodland. Grab an ice cream from the Stables coffee bar and try out some of our games in the Activity Shed.
Whilst you’re over in the woodland get out your '50 Things' booklet and start ticking off some of those activities, such as hunting for bugs and making a trail with sticks. Don’t forget to pause on the bridge over the River Arrow and play a couple of rounds of Pooh Sticks with a willing opponent.
Discover some of the sights and sounds of Coughton outside in the gardens and grounds. Take a stroll down the Gentleman’s Walk and see what birds you can spot on Westminster Pool – will you spot our Heron?
If it’s a nice sunny day try an ice-cream made by a local company, Bennetts and relax while the children play with the games on the lawn and in the activity shed.
If you fancy going on a walk, pick up one of our walk cards from Visitor Reception, and explore Kinwarton Dovecote and Timm’s Grove or pick up our Curious Coughton walk and find out more about the site and its place in history. The family walk will take you around the wood and you can either retrace your steps, if you have little ones with you, or go on a bigger adventure through a field and splash in the ford.
