Be inspired this February half term at Croft Castle
Pick up a half term trail from visitor reception, explore Croft's frosty parkland, find the natural play area and enjoy a hot cup of tea in our cosy Carpenters tea-room.
Take part in our Nature Explorers trail from Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 February. Pick up a trail sheet from Visitor Reception and follow the clues around the grounds to find out about the wildlife we have here at Croft. This trail costs £2.50 per child, which includes a prize.
Blow away the cobwebs and pop on your walking boots this half term, as we have nearly 1500 acres just waiting to be explored. Admire the breathtaking winter views from the top of Croft Ambrey and feel the crunch of frost beneath your feet as you weave in and out of our ancient trees. See if you can spot the snowdrops clustered around the trees in the front meadow and try your hand at bird watching through the bare winter branches in the parkland.
Build your very own bug hotel to take home with you from Monday 17 to Friday 21 February. Bring along a used water bottle from home and learn how to transform it into a hotel for bugs and other creepy crawlies.
See if you can find the natural play area in the parkland, complete with rope swings and a den-building area. Be inspired by our bug hotel and see if you can make one at home. Don't forget to pop into our cosy Carpenters tea-room on your way home for a warming cuppa.
