What's happening indoors?

A Cocktail of Art

Dudmaston is home to some iconic examples of Modern Art, including works by Henry Moore, Serge Poliakoff, Lynn Chadwick and Ben Nicholson. This season we're delving into the stories behind the paintings and their collector, Sir George Labouchere.

Sir George once said that seeing a collection of abstract art made him feel as if he'd had 'a number of very good cocktails.' Whilst we can't guarantee feelings of inebriation, we do hope to inspire a deeper connection with the paintings and the man who brought them into his home.

Meet our art volunteer and discover the eclectic mix of works on display. Cocktails sadly not included. Tours run every Tuesday from 12 noon and spaces are limited. Book your space online or ask at reception when you arrive.

Spring animals trail

The spring animals from the park have come indoors! Can you spot their hiding places as you wander through the rooms in the Hall? Ask the volunteer in the entrance hall for a trail sheet if you'd like to take part.

Conservation in action

From May, catch the conservation team in the library every Tuesday and Wednesday and find out how we care for the thousands of books in our collection.

On Wednesdays meet our archive volunteers in the hall as they work through our entire paper collection which dates back to the 17th century.
