Play hide and seek in our wooden hut or pull yourself up to the watchtower using the fireman's pole. Take a closer look at some of the woodland's amazing plants and animals under the magnifying glass. Budding adventurers can tackle the climbing frame for a better view of the beautiful gardens, before chuting back down the slide.

Woodland play area, Gerard's Wood

Can you find our hidden woodland play park nestled down in Gerard's Wood? Balance on the wooden stepping stones or hunt for bugs and beasties in the fallen leaves. The woodland play area is the perfect place to tick off some of the 50 things to do before you're 11 ¾. Hunt for natural materials to build a den or make a trail out of branches and sticks for your friends and family to follow. If you head down to the woods today, you'll be in for a big adventure.

We have play equipment to suit all ages, so big kids are welcome to get in on the action too, or perhaps you'd rather sit nearby and relax with a hot drink and a slice of cake. Our play areas are popular places for families to visit and have fun together.
