Volunteer with us

gardening, volunteering,

Get involved and join a team of 200 volunteers who all help to bring Dudmaston to life everyday.

Volunteering at Dudmaston is a chance to enjoy new experiences, make friends, learn skills, broaden your knowledge and share your enthusiasm. For many it's as simple as giving something back.

Whether you'd like to be front of house of behind the scenes, there's a role to suit everyone. Just a few hours one day a week (or fortnight) from all our volunteers helps make Dudmaston the lively, engaging place that our visitors enjoy.

" The best thing about volunteering at Dudmaston? It has to be the free cake! "
- Julia, Room Guide and Welcome Assistant

Could you?

  • be a room guide?
  • sell raffle tickets to help us raise funds for our conservation work?
  • deliver a talk on our wildlife and horticulture?
  • help out with our family activities?
  • lead a tour of our Modern Art galleries?

We're particularly interested in hearing from people who want to share their passion with our visitors. Perhaps you're a keen gardener, flower arranger or crafter? Our visitors love to get involved and work alongside passionate, knowledgeable people.

Everyone is welcome

Our diverse volunteering team comprises of people from all walks of life, many of whom are active retired people who aren't ready to put their feet up yet!

We also have family volunteers who really enjoy spending time together, knowing they're helping to look after a local, special place.

We also have students who volunteer here too, gaining valuable experience before moving on to employment within the National Trust and elsewhere.
