Pond dipping and Bug hunting

Want to learn more about the wildlife that inhabits our ponds and woodland floors? Then come along to our pond dipping and bug hunting sessions. Find out about caddisfly larvae, water scorpions and great diving beetles at the pond-side, and discover a world of mini-beasts in the bug hunting area, including cardinal beetles, centipedes and springtails! Sessions are an hour long running on Sundays at either 11:00 or 14:00 and varying Saturdays at 10:30. No booking required, for exact dates see our Whats On board when you arrive.

Bird Ringing Demonstrations

Much of what we know about how long birds live and how far they travel has been revealed by the British Trust for Ornithology's 'Ringing Scheme' which gathers information about bird survival rates and their movements both in the UK and across the globe. Join ringers from Waveney Bird Club who will be on site ringing some of our feathered friends. It's a great opportunity to see some of our best-loved birds up close and to find out more about this important conservation work. Running every Tuesday from 19th April, dependent on the weather.
