The views along the terrace at Farnborough are wonderful. Catch up with our Garden Guide on your visit and find out more about the story of Farnborough’s unique parkland landscape, designed by Sanderson Miller, whose 300 year anniversary we celebrate in 2016.
Parkland chats are taking place on the following dates:
Saturday 9 July, from 3 - 5pm
Saturday 23 July, from 3 - 5pm
Our Garden Guide will be on hand in the gardens to show you want to look for on your walk along the terrace. Ask them about the park's long history, the deisnger Sanderson Miller, it's historical influences and our exciting restoration project, now into it's third year.
Both the house and garden open at 2pm and close at 5.30pm.
Farnborough is an outstanding example of the work of Sanderson Miller. Water features, walkways, hedge and tree planting were in contrast to the open and, at that time, unenclosed agricultural land of the Midlands.
