Christmas shopping in Hampshire
This Christmas, you needn’t tramp the pavements or deal with hoards of other people when buying your presents. Our shops, set in some of Hampshire’s most beautiful countryside, offer you the chance to do your Christmas shopping in peace. Discover exclusive gifts, created by our own designers and inspired by the landscapes and collections we care for. Every purchase helps look after the places you love.
At Mottisfont, Hinton Ampner, The Vyne and Uppark you can browse from hundreds of gift items including our unique new winter and Christmas ranges. If shopping in the town is more your thing, pop into Winchester City Mill. Its well-stocked shelves include locally produced foodie treats and the Mill’s own stoneground flour.
In our shops you’ll find soft Fairisle wool hats and silk scarves. There are smart leather bags and stylish ceramic homeware, jams, chocolates, Christmas cards and glittering decorations.
Inspired by our places
Exclusive in-house designs for winter
Inspired by slow craft and the maker’s hand, our ‘Grain to Glory’ collection explores the delicately crafted woodwork in our collections that has been so carefully maintained and restored.
From Grinling Gibbons’ intricate limewood carvings at Petworth House, to the opulent carved ceilings at Knightshayes; we explore the rich textures and intricate motifs. You’ll find cushions and throws, scarves and porcelain inspired in petrol blue and seafoam green, deep reds, golds and rich florals.
Gifts for little ones
There’s plenty on offer to inspire young nature-lovers. Choose from our Into the Woods clipboard and notepad, twig pencils and foragers’ playing cards. Spark little ones’ curiosity with storybooks like Who’s Hiding in the Woods? For older kids there’s the Out & About Night Explorer and Bird Spotter books.
We can help you kit your family out for outdoors adventures too. Stylish Hunter wellies will keep them dry underfoot. Designed specially for children, our My Discovery telescope, Explorer binoculars and Hide and Seek periscope will bring them closer to wildlife.
Homeware and gardening
You’ll find all sorts of pretty and practical items for the home. There are stylish ‘vintage-cream’ cake stands and jugs, soft pastel mugs and cornflower-blue glasses. Our unique designs are on garden items as well, such as the Sutton Lane Meadow kneeler and matching gloves. For a deluxe gift, choose the smart leather gardening apron and tool belt. Aftercare is on offer too, with delicious-smelling rosemary leaf and orange hand and body soaps and lotions.
Plenty of variety
Our shops’ ranges vary, so at each place you’ll discover something different. At Mottisfont you’ll find refreshing Test Brewing ales, produced just two miles down the road. There’s Bucks Fizz marmalade at The Vyne, and Uppark stocks local hand-crafted cider from The Garden Cider Company. Throughout weekends in December you can sample Bowman Ales in the ancient beer cellar. West Sussex-based Auntie Val’s supplies Uppark with delights such as lemon and elderflower marmalade, and apple, pear and cinnamon jam.
The gift of National Trust membership
Can’t decide? The gift of National Trust membership gives a loved one a whole year of free adventures, and helps to support our conservation work here in Hampshire. You can join or buy membership for friends and family at any of our places.
