Holme and Calder Association

Gibson Mill at Hardcastle Crags, West Yorkshire

The Holme and Calder Association was founded in 1984 to promote the work of the National Trust.

Our membership, which currently numbers around 300, is drawn from a wide geographical area, which includes Huddersfield and Halifax.

What we get up to

The Association's members enjoy a wide range of activities throughout the year. We organise outings and guided walks during the summer, plus a garden party, which is our major fund-raising event. From autumn to early summer, we offer lectures and presentations in three different venues in the region to enable as many people as possible to attend. We also run two holidays during the year plus a Christmas dinner.
