50 years of support
The Royal Oak Foundation has been supporting our work in the UK for 50 years. Since they were formed, they've raised more than $20m and helped us deliver some of our most ambitious projects.
Through the Royal Oak Foundation Conservation Studio at Knole in Kent, many of the treasured items in the collections we care for have been restored for people to enjoy for generations to come. This has included the restoration of The Hon. Theresa Robinson by Joshua Reynolds and The Wise and Foolish Virgins by Jacopo Tintoretto. They've also supported one of our longest projects, the repair of the Gideon tapestries from Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire.
Royal Oak also raised $1.5 million to acquire more than 1,000 of Winston Churchill's belongings. These items are now being kept at Chartwell in Kent, where Churchill lived, for future generations to learn more about his life.
We're incredibly grateful to Royal Oak and their members for continuing to support our work.
