Thinking about becoming a member? Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

When I join, what will I receive and by when?

Once you’ve joined the National Trust, your welcome pack will arrive within 21 days. It contains everything you need – including your membership card(s).

In the meantime, you can start visiting with a temporary card that we’ll email to you.

Can I add more than two adults to a membership? 

Yes, you can add more than two adults to a membership, but not on our website. If you wish to set up this type of membership, please get in touch with our team.

Which children can be included on a family membership? 

All children for whom you have parental responsibility or who are living with you, including children you are fostering or who are placed with you for adoption. Grandchildren can also be included on family memberships.

Do you offer a senior membership discount?  

We offer a discount on renewal of membership to those members aged 60 and over, who have been a member for at least five years in the last ten. This works out as 25 per cent less than the full rate.

Can I renew my membership online? 

We’ve updated our website to make it really simple for you to renew your membership online and continue supporting the places you love.
