Winter hours

We're in our winter opening hours at the moment so we will be closed on Fridays throughout the month (apart from Fri 28 Dec). Last admission is 4pm to the abbey and water garden. Studley Royal tearoom in the deer park will still be open on Fridays.

Having a splash

Can you see any new birds on Studley Lake? Some birds migrate thousands of miles to the UK for winter and some of them settle on the lake in the deer park. Pop by the bird hide and use the binoculars to spot smaller birds tucking in to a winter meal.

Winter stomping ground

Getting outside is a great feeling no matter the time of year or weather. Get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day chaos to explore new trails around the North Yorkshire countryside.

New year, new look

The restaurant and toilets at the visitor centre will be getting a new look. The restaurant will be closed between 7 January until mid February but you’ll be able to get hot drinks, sandwiches and cake from a pop-up stall in the courtyard. It will be worth the wait to see the restaurant transformed; lounge in the comfy chairs, soak up the heat from the log burner and tuck into a warming seasonal meal. The toilets will be closed in January with temporary loos available to use.

You can pop into Mill Café and Studley Royal tea-room, too! Mill Café will be extending its hours so it’s open every day while the restaurant gets its new look.
