Out and about around Fowey

Aerial view of Fowey, Cornwall

There are some great walks around Fowey, with dramatic stretches of the South West Coast Path weaving through woodlands and around creeks. There's a quick walk around Covington woods, a longer step over to Gribbin Head or if you've got more time then try Hall Walk taking in both sides of the estuary.

Geocaching is a great way to combine technology with a good old fashioned treasure hunt. We've hidden caches all around, so all you need is a GPS device or a smart phone to get started. Every time you find the treasure trove, choose something from the stash and leave something else for the next person.
Register on the geocaching website and then record each find.

Take a moment to see what inspiration we have thought up and get going on your very own adventure.

This summer we've been canoeing down the river, making some wild art and cooking up some delicious grub on the campfire.

It's great to hear what everyone else is doing, rain or shine, at home or away. Share your adventures on our Facebook page

Local tides and weather

It's always good to know what the tide and weather are doing when you are by the coast. Our local NCI weather station at Polruan is great for checking wind conditions too.
