Seasonal menu at Heelis café

Just like the landscapes we look after, our menu changes with the seasons. Our meals are inspired by what’s growing in our kitchen garden and seasonal produce in our local countryside, from fresh spring veg and summer fruits to hearty soups and festive flavours as the days grow colder.

Our commitment to great food
Home-grown produce from the Heelis kitchen garden

Homegrown in the Heelis kitchen garden

Welcome to our hidden, green oasis in the heart of Swindon at the National Trust's unique and sustainably-designed head office. Many of the delicious fruit and vegetables served at the Heelis café are homegrown in our kitchen garden, tended by head gardener Philip Osman. From salad leaves to seasonal herbs, rhubarb to tomatoes, you can enjoy a sustainable experience at Heelis.

Our trusted suppliers working hard on local farms

Fresh from our local, ethical farmers

We are committed to working with local farmers to source local, high-quality food in an environmentally sustainable way. All meat served in the Heelis café is sourced from our trusted, local supplier, Jon Thorners, or from British butchers. As one of the South West's very first farm shops, established in 1979, Jon Thorners is founded on providing locally-sourced, high welfare meat.
