Polesden Garden Cottage sits next to the rose gardens of the Polesden Lacey estate. The Regency-style villa was remodelled in the early 20th century and now plays host to a spacious three-bedroom holiday home with elegant décor. You’ll have uninterrupted views over the formal gardens and beyond to the rolling Surrey Hills.
It’s less than a two-minute walk to the main Edwardian house of the estate, where you’ll receive free entry as a guest of the cottage. The wider estate provides miles of waymarked trails through woodland and over rolling hills.
Beyond the estate, Box Hill is just a 15-minute drive away. Join a guided tour or download a trail and explore its woodlands, old fort and sweeping countryside views. Situated in between the South Downs National Park and London, Garden Cottage offers the perfect balance of city and countryside escapades.

Track has large potholes. Drive slowly. Parking for two cars next to cottage. Ground floor facilities. Bedroom and bathroom on ground floor but may not be suitable for wheelchair users. Garden: Private gardens surrounding the cottage with two small patio areas. Garden maintenance takes place on a fortnightly basis, between the hours of 10am and 4pm, on a Thursday.
Please note: The windows on the upper floor do not have restrictors fitted.
Parking and access: There is parking for two cars next to the cottage. Please be aware that Polesden Garden Cottage is located along unmade track with potholes. The road is regularly used by farm traffic and horse riders so is uneven and unsuitable for vehicles with low ground clearance.
WiFi: We’re pleased to provide free WiFi access at this accommodation, which is supported by BT. Please note intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and therefore should not be relied upon.
Heating: LPG gas central heating included.
Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm.
