About Harbour View

A great location on the valley floor overlooking the quayside in the pretty village of Boscastle.

Harbour View sits in an idyllic location overlooking the historic quayside in one direction and up the winding river to the centre of Boscastle village in the other. Nestling against the valley cliffs, its front walled garden feels cosily sheltered. Inside feels cosy too with its open fire and traditional furnishings.

Potter around the village and discover its quaint stone-built cottages, shops, traditional pubs and tearooms. Hop across the bridge to the visitor centre, shop and café where you’ll not only be able to pick up local walking guides, but also a free cream tea on us!

For the best walks head down the footpath out of Boscastle and towards the Valency Valley, a fairy tale woodland with strong connections to the acclaimed Victorian author, Thomas Hardy. For the nearest beach head five miles to Trebarwith Strand where you’ll find a stretch of golden sand at low tide. Or for a surfing beach drive 30 minutes west to Polzeath.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
