About Hartwell House and Spa

Located just an hour from London, Heathrow and Luton Airports lies this impressive Grade I listed oasis, set in 90 acres of landscaped parkland.

The impressive Grade I listed house, which has both Jacobean and Georgian facades, contains rooms with rococo ceilings, antique furniture and paintings, yet with every imaginable contemporary comfort. All set in 90 acres of landscaped parkland. Hartwell House's most famous resident was Louis XVIII, exiled King of France, who lived there with his Court for five years.

Guests can truly relax at Hartwell House and Spa by enjoying the large pool, sauna, steam room, spa bath, tennis courts, a gymnasium, fishing in the lakes or indulging in a beauty treatment.

The historic drawing rooms provide the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the traditional English favourite of Afternoon Tea. In the dining rooms you can enjoy the very best of seasonal and local food in our 2 AA rosette restaurant. If you're organising a dinner, private dining can be arranged.

Overlooking the pool and with access to a private terrace, meet friends in the relaxed atmosphere of the Hartwell Café and choose from a wide range of food and drink from our all-day dining menu.

Our magnificent drawing rooms provide the perfect setting and are licensed for civil marriages and partnership ceremonies.  We have a range of wedding packages from small, private civil ceremonies, wedding breakfasts to the larger, exclusive-use weddings with a marquee.

Hartwell House is first choice for business meetings held by companies who value atmosphere, food, comfort, and surroundings as the ingredients for a successful meeting, and where security and discretion are assured.
