Tal y Braich is in the perfect location for a secluded mountain stay, situated in Eryri (Snowdonia) and close to the Carneddau Range. It offers heaps of Welsh charm, with a cosy wood burner and other features you’ll love such as a stunning Welsh slate floor. Outside, this cottage is perfect for summer gatherings, with a patio area for outside meals – you’ll want to spend every minute of your holiday soaking up the beautiful view and mountain backdrop.

Of course it’s a great spot for exploring the local mountain range too, and from the cottage you can head straight to Tryfan, this peak is recognisable by its classic pointed shape and rugged crags. Other outdoor adventurers are also well catered for with lakes for canoeing and kayaking and Plas y Brenin (the national mountain sports centre) nearby.

For those wishing to head a little further afield there are fun activities for the whole family including ‘Zip-world Adventure’ with its ‘Bounce Below’ activity. There are several local National Trust properties, including Penrhyn Castle, a 19th Century castle which has spectacular surroundings. You can also lose yourself in the greenery of Bodnant Garden,  a world- famous garden, home to national collections and champion trees.
