About Cows, Flowers and Walling
Have a go at walling and look after our wildflower nursery to support our nature conservation efforts. This holiday will be based at or around our land at High Lickbarrow Farm in Windermere and other parts of the wider area. The farm, acquired in 2015, is a haven for wildlife, showcasing farming and conservation working well together, while supporting the herd of rare Albion cows. You will help support this work through repairing dry-stone wall boundaries, putting in infrastructure, and helping out in our tree and wildflower nursery.
About the accommodation
Located in its own peaceful wooded grounds above Lake Windermere with great fell views. The bunkhouse consists of two single-storey cabin-style constructions: the Longland and the Acland. The Longland is made up of three buildings with a large common room with log burner and separate blocks for the dormitories and shower block. The Acland is a self-contained single building. There are large private grounds with a fire pit and barbecue areas.
Facilities: garden, drying room, open fire/woodburner.
Bedding: No bedding/linen provided.
