About Dry-stone walling

From first to last stone, learn how these fascinating constructions are built.

An integral part of the Lake District’s beautiful landscape, drystone walls act as a stock proof barrier for farmers’ livestock and an invaluable habitat for wildlife. Learn how these fascinating constructions are made with instruction from experienced rangers ensuring your wall will be there for you to revisit for many years. Although drystone walling can be strenuous and patience is required as the stones are not numbered, absolute beginners are very welcome along. By the end of the week you’ll never look at a pile of stones in the same way again!

There are large private grounds with a fire pit and barbecue areas.

Bedding: No bedding/linen provided.
