About Family Fun in the DalesCome and spend a few days helping care for the beautiful Upper Wharfedale landscape.
Come and help us care for Upper Wharfedale. You may be having a bonfire, protecting footpaths, caring for trees or making tree guards. All this surrounded by hay meadows, dry stone walls and high fells.
About the accommodation
The accommodation is located on the edge of the village of Buckden and at the foot of 702m high Buckden Pike. It is a 200-year-old converted barn with a large living room with open views up to Wharfedale into Langstrothdale. It is an ‘upside down’ building with the living room, kitchen and one bunk room on the first floor and two bunk rooms and bathroom on the ground floor. Each bunk room has two bunk beds. One is en suite, the other two share a bathroom/toilet. Town Head Bunkhouse does not have a garden next to the building but there is a National Trust picnic area with a built-in barbecue just 100 yards away.
Facilities: drying room, open fire/woodburner, washing machine, tumble dryer.
Bedding: pillows and mattress cover provided.
