About Moorland conservation in the Peak DistrictHelp deliver our vision for the High Peak Moors.
Spend a weekend in the inspiring High Peak moors in the Peak District. Your work will contribute towards improving biodiversity, capturing carbon and reducing the impact of floods. Tasks can include; managing moorland boundaries, removing invasive species and establishing native plants to help restore these unique and internationally important habitats. The terrain is steep and the weather can be unpredictable, so come prepared!
About the accommodation
A fully converted farmhouse situated at the western end of Edale. The bunkhouse lies at the foot of the 538m Horse Hill Tor with views of Kinder Scout. It is surrounded by working farms and a wooded garden with a stream.
Facilities: drying room, garden, open fire/woodburner, pay phone.
Bedding: Only mattress cover provided.
Notes for guests
There will be significant walking to site and then working in exposed conditions.
