About Traditional coppicing in Stackpole Woods

Help us manage our coppice woodland with traditional tools to create a fantastic habitat for wildlife.

Come and help us continue to manage our coppice woodlands the old-fashioned way. You will learn to use traditional tools in this historic method of woodland management and help create a fantastic haven for woodland wildlife. Alongside tree felling and processing the wood, you will also have the chance to have a go at some traditional woodland crafts. If you love being out in the woods without a chainsaw in sight, then this is for you.

About the accommodation

Sitting at the heart of the Stackpole Activity Centre on the Stackpole Estate, this converted barn has been recently refurbished and offers large bunkhouse accommodation. There are two separate corridors of rooms upstairs, full kitchen facilities, a large communal eating area, games room with pool, table tennis and bathroom facilities downstairs.

Facilities: drying room, garden.

Bedding: pillow, duvet and mattress cover provided.
