About Woodsman's long weekend

Learn some traditional countryside crafts of the woodsman in one long weekend- a weekend in the woods!

Like Slindon Estate's woodsmen of the past, learn to create timber products in the peace and quiet of the sun dappled woods. Learn from the Ranger team at Slindon who have been utilising the woods to produce their own fencing materials, charcoal and various greenwood crafts.  There's an option to sleep out in the woods one night for the ultimate experience.

About the accommodation

Slindon Bunkhouse is a converted stable block on the 1,400-hectare estate at Slindon between Arundel and Chichester. The estate is typical of the South Downs with rolling hills and farmland set against a background of woodland and hedges. In addition to that it has an ancient deer park and various archaeological sites. The bunkhouse has a recently refurbished kitchen and seating area with sofas.

Facilities: garden, open fire/woodburner, washing machine.

Bedding: Only mattress cover provided.
