About Woolbeding bio survey
Carry out plant surveys across a variety of habitats and landscapes across Woolbeding estate.Immerse yourself in the natural wonder of the South Downs and improve your identification skills as you survey the plant life of Harting and Woolbeding Estate. From river valley, farmland, ancient woodland, marsh and lowland heath, we’ll be using quadrats and walkabout plant surveys for us to assess the condition and diversity of this estate. Botanical skills are not essential but an interest in plants definitely is! This would suit those with existing plant identification skills and those wishing to learn more will have help with identification.
About the accommodation
Situated in a lovely rural location, but near the small market town of Haslemere, the bunkhouse is a countryside retreat on the edge of the South Downs National Park, with easy access to railway and road links to London and beyond. Situated on Swan Barn Farm surrounded by ancient meadows, woodland and orchards, this recently refurbished building has a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge complete with a wood-burning stove. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit and relax in as well as a barbecue area.
