Send us your best shots

It's the final call for entries for our photo competition to find an outstanding image to feature on our 2020 Handbook, to capture the 'places that make you feel good'. Show us how your favourite National Trust places can inspire you when you're enjoying summer days out. Closing date 1 September.

Help keep the coast alive

Building sandcastles and paddling in the sea - what if all we had left of the coast were memories? As seas rise and storms rage, our shifting shores are transformed. Each coastal mile costs £3,000 a year to maintain and we need your help to keep the coast alive for everyone.

Yvonne, Mam Tor

Reaching the summit of Mam Tor for the first time had a profound effect on Yvonne. Not only did it test her strength and courage, it took her back to her childhood in Jamaica. Yvonne is now a regular visitor, and the quiet stillness of the landscape never fails to bring her peace.
