See the garden at Kingston Lacy in a new light
Wrap up warm and see the house and garden bathed in light this festive season with a new illuminated experience transforming the Formal Garden as darkness falls.
23 December - 5 January: 4pm - 7pm every day
(No winter illuminations on Christmas eve and whole property closed on Christmas Day).
This year the light display takes inspiration from the stories of several members of the Bankes family. Visit Blind Walk to try your hand at an interactive light experience. Have fun pushing the buttons to light each tree with a bold colour to create your own light display.
Enjoy a new and animated light display in the Fernery and enchanting vistas along the iconic Lime Avenue, Cedar Avenue and the Japanese Garden. Be transported to autumn in Japan with a visit to the Acer Glade where rich reds and warm oranges will be complimented by hanging Japanese Lanterns. Imagine yourself joining William John Bankes on his travels as you walk to the Obelisk, lit with hot pinks and bright oranges inspired by the desert sunsets of Egypt.
Look out for new displays in the Rose Garden where the lights will take inspiration from the many varieties of roses that appear here in the early summer.
