Christmas at Leith Hill Place 2018
Enjoy the carol singers around the cosy fire, family activities and festive refreshments. Get into the Christmas mood early at Leith Hill Place.
Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 December, 11am-4pm
Some of the best-loved Christmas carols were arranged by composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams. His ‘O little town of Bethlehem’ is based on an old English folk song which he collected from the nearby village of Forest Green.
Enjoy singing this and other favourites. Be entertained and then have the chance to join in the seasonal songs in the Terrace Room where Vaughan Williams learned to play the piano and violin.
The house will be beautifully dressed in winter greenery and the fires will be crackling in the grates. Sample mouthwatering festive fare, lovingly made by our volunteers. There will also be some crafty activities for families and above all, the famous warm welcome. New for this year we will have a few craft stalls indoors where you can browse and maybe pick up some gifts for Christmas.
Normal admission charges apply and National Trust members are free. We would appreciate your generous donations in the kitchen for the festive treats and there is a small charge for activities.
Call for craft stalls
This year we want to trial having a few craft stalls in the house. Please email us if you would like to find out more or apply for a stall.
