Family activities at Leith Hill Place

A child plays the xylophone in the activity room at Leith Hill Place

Music is everywhere at Leith Hill Place but there are lots of other activities to enjoy too. From adventures in the house to playing croquet on the lawn or searching for signs of evolution hidden in the garden, there’s plenty of fun to be had by all the family.

Make some music

Try our collection of musical instruments in the activity room on the first floor. We have guitars, ukuleles and percussion instruments for you to have fun with, so come and make some noise.

Downstairs there is an upright piano in the hall, so feel free to tinkle the ivories - even the young Vaughan Williams had to start somewhere.

Follow a trail

Explore the house while completing our 'Coffee and Foxy' trail - can you spot where Vaughan Williams' pets are hiding?

Play croquet

Borrow one of our croquet sets and step back in time to a gentler era, when the Wedgwoods would have whiled away happy summer hours on these lawns.

In the garden

Follow our garden trail and discover Darwin's Theory of Evolution as you search for the prehistoric animals hidden amongst the trees.
