Group visits to Lindisfarne Castle

A school group leaving Lindisfarne Castle

We welcome many different types of group to the Castle every year; whether for a whole day or only a few hours. Although the Castle building is closed to visitors for major conservation work until spring 2018, there are still some great walks to be had and of course the magnificent scaffolding to behold!

Our different types of group visit

The wonderful Gertrude Jekyll garden and the lime kilns on Castle Point remain open during the conservation project. The Castle headland and beach is bracing walk most days, and the views of the Farne Islands are spectacular.

Education Group Visits

Once the Castle is open again in 2018, we will be welcoming school and higher education visits on Mondays (when open), Wednesdays and Fridays in the afternoons. Please give us a call on 01289 389 244 or email us to check as these time windows vary with opening hours and tides.

Holy Island

You can read through our information about Holy Island before visiting and print it off or download it to your phone or tablet to help you when you are here.
