Vibrant rhododendron and azalea blooms are the sparkling jewel in our crown. Stroll through deeply fragranced corridors, with their larger than life flowers, as you take in the dazzling array of over 1,000 azaleas that burst into life in late spring.

From new blooms to soft birdsong, Standen comes to life in springtime, the beds and borders packed with cheerful spring bulbs. Enjoy the clouds of pear and apple blossom. Followed by wisteria, which clothing the wall by the lavender lawn with fragrant purple blooms. Rhododendrons from Mrs Beale’s original collection can be seen around the garden from mid May. While bluebells fill the ancient woodlands on the wider estate.
