Want to get creative and be inspired by our Bloomsbury setting? We have the workshop for you. This season we are offering workshops in a large range of disciplines, there is something for everyone. Most of our workshops take place in Rodmell Village Hall with exclusive access to Monk's House garden. Wood Engraving Weekend with Keith Pettit

Artist Keith Pettit guides you in a weekend course making your own wood engraved printing block. This course takes place in Monk's House garden surrounding you in inspiration.

Bloomsbury Needlepoint Weekend with Emily Peacock
Sat 1 & Sun 2 Sep, 10am-4pm £95 per person.
Join artist Emily Peacock to design your own Bloomsbury inspired needlepoint over a two day course. With exclusive access to Monk's House you will choose an element or design that attracts you to form a motif for your pattern. Emily will help you develop your designs from paper to canvas, use layered collage to experiement with your pattern and colour choices. All materials will be provided, you will only need yourself and any glasses required for detailed working.
Drypoint workshop with bip-Art studio

Using the inspiration of Virginia Woolf and our Bloomsbury setting create your own unique images. Bip-Art studio teaches you this printing process which can be layered onto the words of Virginia Woolf. Drypoint is a form of etching that doesnt require the use of chemicals, sketch your designs onto the plate to produce your own individual prints. There is huge scope to be creative, sketching in the garden or illustrate your favourite piece of Virginia Woolf's work.
Lampshade painting with Bloomsbury and Beyond
Sat 13 Oct, 10am-4pm £55 per person.
Decorate your own lampshade with instruction form @bloomsburyandbeyond artist Kay Hussey. With exclusive acces to Monk's House to see our Bloomsbury collection including lampshades by Quentin and Angelica Bell. Think about how the design will look when the light is on and off. Create your designs on paper first then be brave and execute them on the lampshade. All materials provided, you just need to bring your confidence.
