The coast is a great place for families and, being an island, many of our cottages are located near the sea. Watch the waves crash against the shore at Knowles Farm Cottage, or play on the beach at St Helen’s Duver whilst staying in Old Church Lodge. With plenty of big hills to roll down or trees to climb, ticking off one of your '50 things to do before you're 11 3/4' is easy when both the coast and the countryside are just outside your front door.
Our places are perfectly located for a holiday with friends. Go walking on the downs, setting off from Compton Farm Cottages, or for a bracing walk make your way across the Needles Headland from one of the former coastguard cottages above the Needles Old Battery. Some of our cottages can accommodate groups and larger families, with Mottistone Manor Farmhouse providing space for up to fourteen people in a convenient location for exploring the surrounding footpaths, and Rosetta on the seafront at Cowes can accommodate up to 10 people.
Nestled under the downs in the heart of the valley, Longstone Cottage provides the perfect place to retreat. With no electricity (don’t worry there are solar lights) and an isolated location, it is a true hideaway from the rest of the world.
For couples who prefer something a little quirkier, Little Chert, offers a little bit of retro style. Ideally suited for two, it is cheerfully decorated with monochrome interiors and colours of the 1970s, and provides a sheltered environment from which you can explore the warm microclimate of Ventnor and the Undercliff together.
So, whether you fancy playing on the beach, striding out on the downs or getting away from it all, you can be certain to find the perfect cottage for your stay.
