Mullion Harbour Day is back in 2017

The harbour busy with kayaks on Mullion Harbour Day

Join us on Saturday 1st July from 11am as we celebrate Mullion Harbour Day.

The event will include harbour games, craft stalls, free kayak tasters, BBQ, licensed bar, live music and a fancy dress raft race.  This year the theme is ‘coastal creatures’, fancy dress is encouraged with prizes on offer for the best costume.

The event is free and we run it alongside our activity partners ‘Lizard Adventure’ who will be there on the day offering a variety of water based.  This will include free kayaking around the harbour, the raft race, longest jump from harbour wall and the annual seahorse steeplechase. We recommend bringing towels and swimming gear!

Justin Whitehouse, Lead Ranger says “Mullion is an extraordinary place, and this is a fun day to get involved and enjoy the stunning scenery. It’s also an opportunity to raise much needed funds for the upkeep and maintenance of the harbour which is under constant threat from winter storms and rising sea levels”.

As an independent conservation charity, the National Trust spends on average over £1000 per week maintaining the harbour.  Find out more about how climate change is affecting the harbour and our work at Mullion below.
