Throughout the seasons at One Tree Hill

Set within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, One Tree Hill’s tranquil woodland site is the ideal place to reclaim some ‘me time’ and relax and unwind.

Seasonal interest

With trees and flowers awakening after winter, spring is a lovely time of the year. The heady scent of English Bluebells fill the woodland, but have a closer look to see what else emerges.
What could be more perfect than wandering through the shelter of the woodland, listening to the birds, whilst the wind plays amongst the trees.

As autumn leaves start to fall, crunch your way through the multi-coloured carpet, watching as summer disappears and wildlife starts scurrying around collecting food for winter.

Don’t get stuck indoors during winter, as there is still plenty to see. With glistening frost covered leaves, dew encrusted spider webs or maybe even snow covered branches.

Network of paths

With winding paths through the woodland, One Tree Hill is highly valued by walkers and horse-riders. Whether you just want to wander through the woods, or discover more of the Kent countryside, this site is a delightful spot.

For those of you who enjoy longer walks, the long distance footpath, the Greensand Way runs through the site. This 107 mile (173km) path follows the ridge of greensand rock from Farham in Surrey to Ham Street (south of Ashford) in Kent, and many consider this route to be the best of the long distance walks in southeast England.
