We love dogs at Runnymede and your four-legged friend is welcome to explore here all year round.

You can help look after the beautiful countryside here by keeping your dog in sight and under control at all times. As a sign of respect, when around the memorials please keep any dogs on a short lead.

  • Take the lead: help reduce the chance of your pup disturbing wildlife by keeping them on a lead.
  • Scoop that poop: bag it and bin it to keep your favourite places beautiful. There's a dog waste bin in the memorials car park, provided by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
  •  Paws for thought: look out for information signs and take extra care on cliff paths.
  • Be on the ball: not everyone loves dogs, so keep them close b

Animal Welfare

Some areas of Runnymede and Ankerwycke are grazed by cattle. When entering any field containing livestock, please make sure to put your dog on a short lead and keep your distance. As advised by the RSPCA, please don't leave your dog unattended in a car at any time during the year.
