Only 15 minutes drive from Windermere and the central Lakes and only a hop to the Yorkshire Dales, staying at Sizergh provides a wide choice of enjoyable activities.
Built in the 16th century, Holeslack Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building retaining many original and unique features including a spiral staircase and 17th-century oak cupboards.
The house has a great garden space, with distant views of the castle and surrounding countryside.
This is a spacious and welcoming house for family groups situated in a perfect location just 15 minutes from Windermere and 10 minutes from the market town of Kendal, with easy access to the Winster and Lyth valleys, a beautiful area for walking and cycling.
Holeslack Farmhouse cottage open day: Thursday 23 February
We're giving the cottage a lovely interiors make-over and there's a little window of opportunity to have a peek inside this wonderful cottage before the next guests arrive.
You are welcome to join us anytime between 11am and 3pm. Please park in the main Sizergh Castle car park (LA8 8DZ) - the cottage is a 10 - 15 minute walk from there and will be signposted.
Please note: You will need wellies - the footpath up to the cottage is currently muddy. If you would like to visit by car, please call us first on 07769 670933.
This beautifully appointed cottage is the latest addition to our portfolio of holiday cottages in the Lake District. It is situated at the heart of the vibrant working estate and backs on to the famous Sizergh gardens. It forms part of the courtyard which was once the castle stables. Renovated to a high standard, once the castle closes, you can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the estate.
